Methamphetamine urine drug test is a rapid, lateral flow diagnostic test intended to identify methamphetamine in human urine at a cut-off level of 500 ng/ml or 1000 ng/ml. Methamphetamine is a potent sympathomimetic agent, central nervous system stimulating drug that is detectable in human urine for up to three days. The test is designed for use by healthcare professionals and only provides a qualitative screening test result. A more specific alternate chemical method must be used in order to obtain a confirmed analytical result. The test is available in cassette and dip strip formats, with the option of being included in the multi-drug screen test.
