Marijuana (THC) urine drug test is a
rapid, one step immunoassay designed to detect
11-nor-∆-9 THC-9-carboxylic acid (THC) in human urine at
a cut-off level of 50 ng/ml. Tetrahydrocannabinols (THC,
∆-9-THC, ∆-1-THC) are the most active of the principle
constituents, as well as the major metabolites, of
cannibinoids such as marijuana and hashish. Cannibinoids
are used as central nervous system depressants and can
be detectable in urine for 2-5 days (casual use) and
14-30 days (chronic use). The Marijuana (THC) urine drug
test detects THC in order to evaluate the abuse of
cannibinoids. The test is for healthcare professional
use only and provides qualitative screening test
results. A more specific alternate chemical method must
be used in order to obtain a confirmed analytical
result. The test is available in cassette and dip strip
formats, with the option of being included in the
multi-drug screen test. |
